Buyer Guide
How to Choose the Right Disc Top Cap
The fastest way to avoid compatibility issues is to confirm the bottle neck first, then evaluate dispensing and aesthetic requirements.
01
Confirm diameter
Start with the bottle opening diameter: 18, 20, 24 or 28 mm.
02
Confirm thread finish
24 mm alone is not enough, check whether the bottle is 24/410, 24/415, etc.
03
Match formula
Consider viscosity, desired flow and dispensing experience for the end user.
04
Test samples
Validate fit, leak performance and user experience with your actual bottle and formula.
Questions Before You Source
HB Packaging offers disc top caps in multiple common neck sizes, including 18mm, 20mm, 24mm, and 28mm options.
Available specifications may vary by cap design, thread finish, material, and surface finish. If you are not sure which size fits your bottle, you can send us your bottle neck specification, drawing, or sample for compatibility checking.
Both 24/410 and 24/415 refer to closures with a 24mm neck diameter, but the thread finish is different.
The second number, such as 410 or 415, describes the bottle neck thread style and height. A 24mm cap does not automatically fit every 24mm bottle, so the exact neck finish should be confirmed before sampling or production.
For best results, we recommend testing the cap with your actual bottle and formula.
Yes. Disc top caps are commonly used for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and other personal care products.
They are suitable for products that need convenient one-handed opening and controlled dispensing. For thicker formulas, we recommend sample testing to confirm dispensing performance and user experience.
Yes. We support custom color matching, including Pantone-based color development, as well as different surface appearances depending on the closure design, such as glossy, matte, bi-color, or selected decorative finishes.
Final color and appearance should be confirmed through an approved sample before mass production, since resin, surface texture, and lighting can affect the perceived color.
Yes. If an existing HB closure does not meet your bottle, functional, or branding requirements, we can evaluate a custom mold development project.
Our team can support the process from closure concept and structural review through mold development, sampling, fit validation, and preparation for mass production.
For the initial review, it is helpful to provide your bottle drawing, target dimensions, application, formula, expected annual volume, and any functional requirements.
