Buyer Guide
How to Choose the Right Flip Top Cap
The fastest way to avoid compatibility issues is to confirm the bottle neck first, then evaluate dispensing and aesthetic requirements.
01
Confirm diameter
Start with the bottle opening diameter: 18, 20, 24 or 28 mm.
02
Confirm thread finish
24 mm alone is not enough, check whether the bottle is 24/410, 24/415, etc.
03
Match formula
Consider viscosity, desired flow and dispensing experience for the end user.
04
Test samples
Validate fit, leak performance and user experience with your actual bottle and formula.
Questions Before You Source
Please share your bottle neck size and thread finish, target application, product formula or viscosity, preferred cap style, color or finish requirements, and expected order volume if available.
If you already have a bottle drawing, closure specification, or physical bottle sample, send that as well. The more complete the information, the easier it is for us to recommend suitable existing closures and avoid unnecessary sampling rounds.
HB Packaging offers flip top caps in multiple common neck sizes, depending on the product series and application requirements.
Available options may include different diameters, thread finishes, shapes, colors and dispensing designs. If you are not sure which cap fits your bottle, you can send us your bottle drawing, neck finish or sample for compatibility checking.
Flip top caps are commonly used for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hand soap, dishwashing liquid, sauces, honey and other products that need convenient dispensing.
They are especially suitable when the user needs one-handed opening, controlled dispensing and repeated daily use.
Yes. We support custom color matching, including Pantone-based color development, as well as different surface appearances depending on the closure design, such as glossy, matte, bi-color, or selected decorative finishes.
Final color and appearance should be confirmed through an approved sample before mass production, since resin, surface texture, and lighting can affect the perceived color.
Yes. If an existing HB closure does not meet your bottle, functional, or branding requirements, we can evaluate a custom mold development project.
Our team can support the process from closure concept and structural review through mold development, sampling, fit validation, and preparation for mass production.
For the initial review, it is helpful to provide your bottle drawing, target dimensions, application, formula, expected annual volume, and any functional requirements.
